Prior to his meeting with the Prime Minister, President Sanchez attended the Spain-India CEO Forum, where he highlighted Spain's investment potential and aimed to bolster business connections with Indian industry leaders.
In a post on X, President Sanchez remarked, "Spain is a nation ripe for investment. It serves as a strategic ally, providing growth, stability, talent, and innovation. This was my message in New Delhi to senior executives from Indian firms I met with today."
The visit of the Spanish leader and his discussions with PM Modi further solidify the enduring and amicable relationship between India and Spain, a bond that has its roots in the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1956.
Previously, President Pedro Sanchez visited India officially on October 28-29, 2024, marking his first trip to the country and the first by a Spanish Government President to India in 18 years.
