Zagreb, June 19 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with his Croatian counterpart Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Wednesday during his groundbreaking visit to Croatia, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to this nation, a significant milestone in the historical relationship between the two countries, as highlighted by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Upon arriving at the historic Banski Dvori Palace, PM Modi was greeted warmly by PM Plenkovic, who extended a ceremonial welcome, according to the MEA's statement.
Earlier, PM Plenkovic welcomed PM Modi at the airport with a special gesture, as noted by the Ministry.
The two leaders engaged in high-level delegation talks, discussing various aspects of their bilateral partnership, such as trade and investment, science and technology, defense and security, space exploration, cultural cooperation, and enhancing people-to-people ties.
