Kananaskis (Canada), June 18 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his joy in meeting his friend, French President Emmanuel Macron, during the G7 Summit held here on Tuesday.
Emphasizing the robust relationship between India and France, PM Modi mentioned on his official X account: "It's always a pleasure to engage with my friend, President Emmanuel Macron, and share insights on various topics. In April, following the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, Macron reached out to PM Modi on June 12, reaffirming France's solidarity with India during this challenging time.
Macron stated that France would stand united with its allies and continue the fight against terrorism as needed.
"I just spoke to my counterpart Narendra Modi about the cowardly terrorist attack on Tuesday, which led to the heartbreaking loss of many innocent lives. France is firmly with India and its people in this hour of sorrow. Together with our allies, we will persist in the battle against terrorism wherever required," the French President shared on X.
