Ottawa, June 18 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for Croatia on Wednesday following a successful visit to Canada, where he participated in the 51st Group of Seven (G7) Summit held in Kananaskis.

This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Croatia, signifying a pivotal moment in the two nations' bilateral relations.

“As I conclude a fruitful visit to Canada, I express my gratitude to the Canadian citizens and government for hosting a successful G7 Summit that facilitated meaningful discussions on various global challenges. We remain dedicated to promoting global peace, prosperity, and sustainability,” PM Modi shared on X as he embarked on his journey to Croatia.

The upcoming trip is expected to enhance political and economic ties with the European nation, providing a vital opportunity to broaden cooperation in sectors such as trade, innovation, defense, ports, shipping, science, technology, cultural exchange, and workforce mobility.

“This visit will highlight India's commitment to strengthening its engagement with partners in the European Union,” stated the government.
