Tianjin, Aug 31 (NationPress) The member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have made significant strides in their collaboration on environmental protection, effectively advancing their green economy and fostering sustainable development, according to a Chinese environmental official.
As stated by Guo Fang, the vice minister of ecology and environment for China, an environmental information sharing platform has been launched within the SCO to disseminate environment-related laws, regulations, policies, standards, and management systems among member states, aiding enterprises in broadening their market prospects, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
Since 2021, China has organized over 30 multilateral and bilateral technical exchange and matchmaking events focusing on areas like green development, climate change response, and biodiversity protection, drawing in nearly 1,000 industry representatives, Guo revealed at a press conference prior to the upcoming SCO Summit 2025, scheduled in Tianjin this weekend.
