South Korea: 38 Vietnamese Tourists Reported Missing in Jeju

Jeju, Dec 3 (NationPress) A group of Vietnamese tourists, who entered South Korea through the southern island of Jeju last month, has vanished, authorities stated on Tuesday.
The 38 individuals were part of a larger group of approximately 90 tourists who landed in Jeju from Nha Trang, Vietnam, on a chartered VietJet Air flight on November 14, as reported by the Jeju Tourism Organisation and Yonhap news agency.
The 38 tourists went missing during the final leg of their itinerary prior to their planned return on November 17, while the remaining members of the group boarded the flight back.
Visitors to the resort island can remain without a visa for up to 30 days. The group did not possess visas and can legally stay until December 14.
The local immigration office is actively investigating the situation by reviewing surveillance footage to determine the whereabouts of the missing tourists.
