Sri Lankan Rupee Gains 11.5% Against the USD

Colombo, Dec 7 (NationPress) The Sri Lankan Rupee has seen a remarkable increase of 11.5% over the past year up to Friday, as reported by the central bank of the country.
The latest weekly economic indicators released to the press on Friday evening highlighted that the gross official reserves reached 6.4 billion US dollars by the end of November 2024, according to Xinhua news agency.
Furthermore, the central bank reported that this year's tourism earnings totaled 272.9 million US dollars, while workers’ remittances were recorded at 530 million dollars.
