Syrian Military Reinforces Troops in Southern Regions Amid Attacks

Damascus, Dec 7 (NationPress) The Syrian army declared on Saturday that it has redeployed troops in the southern provinces of Daraa and Sweida to create a more robust defensive front after experiencing terrorist assaults on military checkpoints.
The general command of the armed forces released a statement indicating that this strategic move was aimed at safeguarding the nation and its citizens, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
In the statement, it was emphasized, Our armed forces are addressing recent developments out of concern for the safety of our homeland and civilians, and we will combat this terrorism with unwavering decisiveness and strength.
Additionally, the defense ministry reported increased artillery and rocket bombardments by army units targeting militant positions and supply routes in Hama and Homs, leading to direct hits and substantial losses among opposition fighters.
