Does Terrorism and State Machinery Collaborate in Pakistan?

London, June 2 (NationPress) BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, who is at the helm of an all-party Parliamentary delegation visiting the United Kingdom, asserted on Monday that terrorism and state machinery in Pakistan function in unison.

Speaking to a full house at the India House in London, Prasad underscored India's robust position against terrorism and the importance of Operation Sindoor, initiated in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror incident.

The event witnessed significant participation from the Indian diaspora, who voiced their unwavering support for India.

The delegation informed the community about the events surrounding the Pahalgam attack and India's subsequent measures, reiterating the nation's strong commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms.

Prasad characterized the Pahalgam attack as a “conspiracy to undermine peace and development,” emphasizing that India's decisive action through Operation Sindoor aims to dismantle terror camps backed by Pakistan.

“India advocates for peace, but terrorists must face consequences for their actions against innocent Indians,” he emphasized. “Terrorism and the state apparatus are intertwined in Pakistan, hence every terror act will be perceived as a war,” he added.

Reaffirming India's steadfast policy on national security, Prasad stated that the country’s approach towards terrorism remains unwavering.

Highlighting India's determination against terrorism, the Indian parliamentarians reiterated that any act of terror would be met with the utmost severity.

Prasad also brought attention to ongoing human rights abuses in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Balochistan.

“Are you aware of the atrocities occurring in PoK? The locals are pleading to return to India. Women in Balochistan are suffering severe mistreatment. The populace in Pakistan is deeply distressed today,” he remarked.

Reflecting on historical India-Pakistan conflicts, Prasad noted, “We have engaged in four conventional wars, none initiated by India; we only responded, and Pakistan was defeated in all.” He added, “Jinnah established Pakistan, which has now turned into a 'general shop.'”

After the event, Prasad shared on social media, “Today, with my esteemed colleagues from the all-party delegation, I engaged with representatives of the vibrant Indian diaspora at India House in London. We articulated India's steadfast position against terrorism, shedding light on the tragic Pahalgam attack.”

“Additionally, we informed them about Operation Sindoor, reiterating India's firm policy against terrorism in all its forms. We emphasized India's united front and unyielding commitment to decisively counter terrorism, making it clear that any acts of terror will be met with resolute action,” he added.

The diaspora members praised Operation Sindoor and the initiatives taken by the government led by PM Narendra Modi to tackle cross-border terrorism.

The all-party delegation also includes BJP MPs Daggubati Purandeswari and Samik Bhattacharya; Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi; Congress MPs Gulam Ali Khatana and Amar Singh; former Union Minister M.J. Akbar; and former diplomat Pankaj Saran.

On Sunday, the delegation paid floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Tavistock Square Garden and visited the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Museum.

At the museum, Prasad remarked, “We paid heartfelt tributes to the revered Dr. Ambedkar. We are proud to visit this historic site where he resided for two years. The Government of India has acquired and preserved this significant residence, which is now diligently maintained by the Indian High Commission. We honored this great Indian leader and esteemed reformer by laying flowers.”

“It is significant that all five locations associated with Dr. Ambedkar's life and work have been preserved as 'Smriti Sthal', showcasing his lasting legacy. I pay my profound respect to his extraordinary contributions,” he added.

Following visits to France, Italy, and Denmark, the delegation arrived in London as part of India's global diplomatic outreach initiative to promote Operation Sindoor and the ongoing battle against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
