Washington, January 11 (NationPress) Following his unconditional discharge in the hush money case on Friday, US President-elect Donald Trump launched a fierce critique against Radical Democrats, condemning the investigation as a pathetic, unAmerican Witch Hunt that consumed significant time and resources.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, the President-elect argued that these efforts should have been directed toward critical issues like crime in New York City and the State.
He also pointed out the collaboration between the current Biden-Harris administration and what he termed the Weaponisation of the Justice Department.
Trump claimed that the allegations against him were baseless, illegal, and fake, asserting that the unconditional discharge he received demonstrated that the case lacked merit.
"The Radical Democrats have lost yet another pathetic, unAmerican Witch Hunt. After spending tens of millions of dollars and wasting over 6 years on obsessive work that should have been focused on protecting New Yorkers from violent, rampant crime destroying the City and State, while coordinating with the Biden/Harris Department of Injustice in lawless Weaponisation, and bringing completely baseless, illegal, and fake charges against your 45th and 47th President, ME, I was granted an UNCONDITIONAL DISCHARGE," Trump stated.
Earlier that Friday, Judge Juan Merchan issued an unconditional discharge for President-elect Trump, meaning he will not face jail time or penalties in the hush money case.
This anticipated sentencing indicates that Trump will remain a felon but will avoid jail time, penalties, or probation related to the hush money case.
In his post, Trump further claimed that legal experts and scholars concurred that there was no valid case and called for the case to be dismissed.
He reiterated his re-election as proof that the American people had made their choice, asserting a mandate in what he dubbed one of the most significant elections in US history, and criticized the legal proceedings, highlighting a conflicted judge, a key witness with a troubled legal background, and alleged election interference.
"That outcome alone proves that, as all Legal Scholars and Experts have stated, THERE IS NO CASE, THERE WAS NEVER A CASE, and this entire Scam absolutely deserves to be DISMISSED. The true Jury, the American People, have spoken by re-electing me with an overwhelming MANDATE in one of the most consequential Elections in History. As the American People have seen, this 'case' had no crime, no damages, no proof, no facts, no Law, only a highly conflicted Judge, a star witness who is a disbarred, disgraced, serial perjurer, and criminal Election Interference. Today's event was a disgraceful charade, and now that it is over, we will appeal this Hoax, which has no merit, and restore the trust of Americans in our once-great System of Justice. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Trump added.

Trump was convicted in May 2023 of falsifying records to hide payments to his then-lawyer Michael Cohen, who reimbursed a $130,000 hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels for her silence regarding an alleged affair with Trump prior to the 2016 election. Trump has denied the affair.
