In a conversation with IANS, CM Saini highlighted that the Budget focuses significantly on the welfare of women and youth. “We gathered 11,000 recommendations from the public regarding the Budget, and I extend my gratitude to everyone involved,” he remarked.
“With inputs from industrialists, chartered accountants, NGOs, and various community members, Haryana is progressing towards fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat,” he added.
The Budget places a specific emphasis on the welfare of farmers, women, youth, and the health and education sectors, according to the CM.
He noted that their Sankalp Patra during the Assembly elections committed to providing financial aid of Rs 2,100 per month, and he expressed satisfaction in delivering on this promise.
“We have made all essential arrangements for its execution, and efforts are being made to finalize the framework and eligibility criteria for this ambitious scheme. What we pledged in our Sankalp Patra is backed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our goal is to ensure that every eligible impoverished woman receives financial support under this initiative,” he stated shortly after presenting the Budget for 2025-26 on March 17.
He mentioned that the government is striving for the empowerment of women across all sectors. The administration plans to establish Mahila Chaupals in every village, with the first phase covering 774 villages.
Additionally, the Kishori Yojana will be launched in all districts with an added budget of Rs 60 crore.
He remarked: “When we assumed control of the administration in 2014, the debt was considerably higher, but by 2024-25, it has been reduced, showcasing our effectiveness in managing and decreasing debt through prudent financial strategies.”
He concluded by stating that this Budget aims to meet the hopes and expectations of the 2.8 crore people of Haryana.
