New Delhi, Sep 26 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the achievements of the Lakhpati Didi initiative, revealing that over 2 crore sisters have successfully become Lakhpati Didis, aimed at a target of 3 crore set by the government. He expressed optimism that women from Bihar would lead the charge and become the largest contributors to the Lakhpati Didi workforce.
During a virtual address to thousands of Bihar women at the unveiling of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana, PM Modi shared this progress.
As part of the women's outreach initiative, he directly transferred Rs 10,000 into the bank accounts of 75 lakh female beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.
"Today marks the launch of the Chief Minister Women Employment scheme. Currently, 75 lakh sisters have enrolled in this program. At once, Rs 10,000 has been deposited into the accounts of all these 75 lakh sisters," PM Modi stated.
