Mulugu (Telangana), May 17 (NationPress) The Telangana Police have successfully apprehended 20 Maoists and confiscated a substantial cache of explosives and arms, including Insas, SLR, and .303 rifles, during an operation on Saturday, as reported by officials.

Following the completion of the Karregutta Naxal Operation within the jurisdiction of the Usur police station in Bijapur district, the Telangana police launched an extensive campaign targeting Maoist operations across the Mulugu district.

Additionally, seven Maoists were apprehended in the same vicinity. Another seven were arrested during search operations in the Murumuru forest area close to Guttala Gangaram Guttikoya village, which is under Wazedu police jurisdiction.
The Superintendent of Police, P. Shabarish, has encouraged all Maoists to surrender to the authorities, take advantage of the state government's surrender policy, and reintegrate into society to lead peaceful lives and reunite with their families.
