Ludhiana, June 13 (NationPress) In a fierce critique of the Punjab government, state BJP President Sunil Jakhar accused the administration of plotting to seize 25,000 acres in Ludhiana. He claimed that both Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal are functioning as land aggregators and have transformed into alleged commission agents for realtors.
“The AAP government is colluding with real estate agents to unlawfully appropriate the vital agricultural lands of Ludhiana, deceiving and exploiting unsuspecting farmers,” Jakhar asserted, emphasizing that the BJP will not permit Kejriwal's sinister intentions to prevail.
“On June 19, the residents of Ludhiana will express their dissent against this attempt to illegally seize their property, and they will eradicate AAP's corruption,” Jakhar stated during a press briefing. He was joined by Union Minister Ravneet Bittu and BJP candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly seat, Jeewan Gupta, as he raised concerns regarding the blatant corruption witnessed during the past three and a half years under the AAP government.
He called for a High Court-monitored investigation to determine whether corruption funds are being sourced from the drug trade and other illicit activities by politicians from any party. “The probe overseen by the Punjab and Haryana High Court should involve Punjab Vigilance, the Income Tax Department, the Enforcement Directorate, or any other agency to ensure both impartiality and public trust,” Jakhar stated.
“Those who were once running mobile repair shops before the elections are now constructing their luxurious homes in affluent neighborhoods,” he remarked, implying extensive corruption among AAP legislators. In response to a media inquiry, Jakhar added, “I understand the Chief Minister possesses documents on the corrupt actions of Congress leaders, as he mentioned in the Punjab Assembly. By failing to take action against those engaged in corruption, the Chief Minister has betrayed the trust of the people of Punjab.”
Earlier, Jakhar extended his heartfelt condolences regarding the tragic Air India plane crash that resulted in the loss of 241 lives, including the crew, expressing sympathy for all affected by this dreadful event. The BJP President also paid tribute to former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, commending him as a grassroots leader who led Gujarat commendably.
