Chandigarh, April 15 (NationPress) Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar on Tuesday criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Congress leader Partap Bajwa for leading the state towards chaos by indulging in petty politics concerning a sensitive matter.
Jakhar assured the people of Punjab that the Modi government is determined to protect the hard-earned peace of the state at all costs. He urged the citizens to remove the incompetent and insensitive AAP government by voting against them in the upcoming Ludhiana (West) Assembly bypoll.
“Both CM Mann and Bajwa are aware that there is no legitimate reason for the statement made by the Leader of Opposition. Their only motive was to gain media attention to position themselves as potential candidates for Chief Minister in front of the Congress leadership,” he stated.
“The CM has also exploited this deliberate statement from the Leader of Opposition to distract the public from the failures of the AAP regime and the numerous pressing issues Punjab is encountering. It seems Bhagwant Mann has just realized he is the CM and not Kejriwal or Sisodia. By making political gains over this sensitive law and order issue, he is only instilling fear and uncertainty among the populace, which is quite alarming,” Jakhar remarked.
Jakhar heavily criticized both leaders, stating that their insensitivity in dragging Punjab, a border state, towards turmoil and chaos by instilling fear in the minds of its citizens is utterly unacceptable and should be condemned by every rational Punjabi. He referenced the recent statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government will not allow anyone to jeopardize Punjab's peace, which is critical for national security.
Attacking the Congress leadership, including Bajwa, Jakhar claimed their internal conflicts and desperate attempts for publicity to sustain their political careers have resulted in an ineffective opposition in the state. However, he emphasized that the BJP is fully capable of ensuring that Punjab does not suffer due to the grave incompetence of the AAP and Congress.
