Chandigarh, Feb 11 (NationPress) Punjab AAP spokesperson Neel Garg urged state BJP chief Sunil Jakhar to concentrate on his personal issues instead of being concerned about Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. In response to Jakhar's remarks regarding Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) retaliated fiercely. Garg remarked, “Someone whose own future is uncertain should not be worried about others.” He likened Jakhar’s predicament to “Na Ghar Da, Na Ghat Da”.
“No one in the BJP is paying attention to him. He is not even invited to party meetings, which is why he has become so restless,” Garg continued.
Previously, Jakhar had stepped down from his role as BJP state President, a resignation that was accepted, only to later plead with the BJP leadership to reverse that decision.
Garg asserted that CM Mann is consistently striving for the progress of Punjab and making bold choices. “He is the most influential and popular Chief Minister of Punjab. Thus, Jakhar should not be concerned about Bhagwant Mann, but instead focus on his own standing within his party.”
Furthermore, Garg remarked that “regardless of what Jakhar does, his ambition of becoming Chief Minister will never come to fruition. His aspirations were not fulfilled in the Congress, and they will not be realized in the BJP either. No matter which party he joins, he will never become the Chief Minister of Punjab.”
As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently concluded the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) 12-year dominance in Delhi, Opposition parties have intensified their efforts to dismantle AAP's last stronghold in Punjab, which is set for elections in 2027.
Reacting to the party’s success in Delhi, where several prominent AAP figures, including national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Saurabh Bhardwaj faced losses, BJP leader and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu took a jab at Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, suggesting “it’s his turn to pack the bags”.
“Today the entire nation is celebrating the success of Delhi’s BJP workers... Once the BJP takes control in Punjab, no one will need to sell their house, properties, or land to emigrate. Everyone will find employment here. This is Narendra Modi's vision,” he asserted.
Extending his congratulations to the BJP for their triumph in Delhi, Jakhar posted on X, “Congratulations to Union Home Minister Amit Shah-ji, National President JP Nadda-ji, and all BJP workers for making Delhi AAP-free under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-ji. Their dedication has resulted in the lotus blooming in Delhi after 27 years.”
