Chandigarh, Dec 28 (NationPress) The Punjab BJP president, Sunil Jakhar, criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Sunday, stating that instead of concentrating on the state's development, it is merely behaving like an event management company and planning to add another propaganda initiative to its ongoing series of special Vidhan Sabha sessions.

In his remarks, Jakhar pointed out that the Bhagwant Mann administration has not succeeded in any area and lacks any significant accomplishments to present.

“This is why they continuously generate new propaganda,” he noted.

He denounced the special session scheduled for December 30, aimed at opposing the VB-G RAM G Act, as merely another chapter in this ongoing saga.

Jakhar suggested that the government should utilize the special assembly session to address the worsening law and order situation in Punjab, discussing the rise in murders and extortion threats that are reported almost daily.

During a recent visit by Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Punjab, residents from various districts raised concerns about corruption within the government scheme.

He urged the Chief Minister to publish a white paper detailing the corruption alleged to have occurred in the state over the last four years.

Jakhar accused the government of deceiving the underprivileged by collecting forms and thumbprints, questioning why these beneficiaries have been denied their rightful employment for the past four years.

He challenged the Chief Minister to explain why the AAP government is anxious when the Central government is pledging to eliminate corruption in the scheme and provide 125 days of work instead of 100.

He insisted that the government must cease misleading those in need.

“With the Central government guaranteeing 125 days of employment, the state must effectively implement the scheme to ensure all receive their 125 days of work,” he concluded.
