Jaipur, June 17 (NationPress) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted raids at eight locations linked to Executive Officer (EO) Fateh Singh Meena of the Paota-Pragpura Municipality in the Kotputli-Baharod district.
According to an official, the targeted sites included various offices in Jagatpura, Viratnagar, Paota (Kotputli-Baharod), Shahpura (Jaipur), Kotputli, and Thanagazi (Alwar) within Jaipur.
During the early hours of Tuesday, the ACB uncovered crucial documents amidst the searches.
The ACB's actions stemmed from a complaint regarding disproportionate assets while in government service, revealing investments in benami properties valued in crores of rupees across multiple locations.
ACB DG Ravi Prakash Meharda reported that a complaint had been lodged against EO Fateh Singh Meena for acquiring property exceeding his income.
“Confidential verification by ACB indicated that he amassed property exceeding his income by 273% since his government appointment,” he stated.
The ACB DG further mentioned that a case has been registered against Fateh Singh for this property acquisition.
Initial findings suggest that the properties were acquired with black money. Fateh Singh reportedly purchased two luxury flats valued at approximately Rs 1.30 crore in Jagatpura, Jaipur. Additionally, he acquired 1.05 hectares of land in Deepavas, Neemkathana.
He has also bought around 15 bighas of land under an acquaintance’s name in Thanagazi, Alwar, where he developed a farmhouse and invested around Rs 80 lakh.
The properties targeted by the ACB team included two flats in Trimurti Arena in Jagatpura, a house at Bhartrihari Tiraha in Thanagazi, a farmhouse at Garh Basai in Thanagazi, and residences belonging to associates in Kotputli and Shahpura, along with the EO’s office in Pragpura Pawta.
