Ahmedabad, Sep 18 (NationPress) Adani Cement, in collaboration with its Group partner PSP Infra, announced on Thursday the successful completion of the world's largest raft foundation for a religious temple at Umiya Dham, located nearby. This raft foundation, designed for the upcoming tallest temple in the world, measures 450 feet x 400 feet x 8 feet and will support 1,551 Dharma Stambhs for the 504-feet-tall Jagat Janani Maa Umiya Temple. This temple is set to be the spiritual heart of a vast social and cultural campus in Jaspur.
This remarkable achievement was realized through a continuous 54-hour casting operation using 24,100 cubic meters of ‘ECOMaxX M45’ grade low-carbon concrete, a specially developed sustainable mix by Adani Cement that sets new industry standards.
“Umiya Dham is poised to become a significant spiritual landmark, encompassing 60 acres and representing an investment of around Rs 2,000 crore. This project transcends mere record-setting; it symbolizes the quality, scale, speed, and purpose that Adani Cement embodies,” stated Vinod Bahety, CEO – Cement Business, Adani Group.

The execution of this milestone was facilitated by 26 strategically positioned Ready-Mix Concrete (RMX) plants, over 285 transit mixers operating in a coordinated logistics network, 3,600 tonnes of high-performance cement, and a workforce of more than 600 skilled workers and technical experts working around the clock over three days.
The entire process was carefully orchestrated to ensure continuous pouring without cold joints, while maintaining optimal temperature control and mix consistency throughout.
The application of ‘ECOMaxX’ concrete significantly minimized the carbon footprint of this endeavor, reflecting Adani Cement's commitment to environmentally friendly construction practices.
R.P. Patel, President of the Vishv Umiya Foundation, remarked that the world-record foundation for the Jagat Janani Maa Umiya (Parvati) temple is a proud milestone for India's cultural and engineering legacy.
“Adani Cement’s proven capability in executing mega-projects made them our top choice,” he added.
The ‘ECOMaxX M45’ concrete mix features 66 percent Supplementary Cementitious Material (SCM), leading to a 60 percent reduction in carbon emissions.
The proprietary Coolcrete formulation kept placement temperatures below 28 degrees Celsius, reducing thermal stress. Thermocouples embedded within the structure continue to monitor temperature and durability in real-time, according to the company.
