Bhagalpur, May 8 (NationPress) The Jan Aushadhi Kendras, established under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PM-BJP), are making a significant impact on the lives of individuals nationwide by allowing them to obtain high-quality medicines at substantially reduced prices.
In the Naugachia area of Bihar's Bhagalpur, these Kendras are supplying affordable medications to countless families from the lower and lower-middle economic classes.
Several beneficiaries shared their experiences with IANS regarding the influence of this Central government initiative on their lives.
Subodh Gupta, a regular customer at the Kendra, revealed that the same medications available here are priced up to 75% lower.
"I purchase a medication priced at Rs 600 at the Jan Aushadhi Kendra for merely Rs 150. I have encouraged everyone in my ward to procure medicines from here so that all can reap the benefits," he stated.
Gupta expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this initiative.
Nisha Kumari, another local resident, conveyed that they previously acquired medicines from private outlets costing around Rs 2,000; however, at the Jan Aushadhi Kendras, they are available for only a third of that price.
Amit Kumar, the director of the Naugachia center, emphasized that the PM-BJP represents a visionary initiative of the Modi administration and is producing remarkable results.
"Thanks to the Jan Aushadhi Kendra, impoverished families are conserving funds on medications by purchasing them at rates 90% lower. Discounts ranging from 50% to 90% are offered at these centers. For instance, medicines for stomach ailments that cost Rs 5 in the market are available here for just 90 paise," he mentioned.
The PM-BJP program was launched in 2016 to provide high-quality generic medicines at affordable prices, ensuring that essential healthcare is accessible to all citizens.
