New Delhi, Sep 26 (NationPress) Following the significant impact of Operation Sindoor that dismantled Pakistan's terrorist networks, recent reports and images have revealed that after Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), the notorious Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is strategically repositioning itself within the troubled region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, Pakistan.

As indicated by IANS last week, this relocation of JeM and Hizbul has now been joined by LeT, established by terrorist mastermind Hafiz Saeed, who is now relocating its operational and training facilities deeper into KPK, moving away from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Punjab to evade future Indian military operations.

According to exclusive information and visuals dated September 22, 2025, LeT is in the process of constructing a new terror training and residential facility named 'Markaz Jihad-e-Aqsa' in the Kumban Maidan area of Lower Dir district, located about 47 kilometers from the Afghan border.

This construction initiative commenced in July 2025, shortly after the launch of Operation Sindoor, and imagery suggests that the initial framework is complete, with further development ongoing.

The site spans approximately 4,643 square feet of land next to LeT's recently built 'Jamia Ahle Sunnah mosque', illustrating LeT's historical strategy of establishing training facilities disguised as religious institutions to avoid detection.

Importantly, the command of this new center has been assigned to Nasr Javed, a key figure behind the 2006 Hyderabad blast in India, who previously managed LeT's Dulai training camp from 2004 to 2015 and is currently active within LeT's fundraising division, Khidmat-e-Khalq (previously known as Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation, which has been banned by the UN).

Moreover, Muhammad Yasin (alias Bilal Bhai) is designated for instructional duties regarding jihad, while the responsibility for operational arms training has been given to Anas ullah Khan, who was trained at LeT's Garhi Habibullah camp in 2016.

The strategic location of the camp near LeT's new and existing religious seminary, Markaz Jamia Ahle Sunnah, appears intentional, as it provides cover for recruitment, logistical support, and conceals the terror activities under the pretense of religious duty.

A dossier from relevant agencies notes that once operational, 'Markaz Jihad-e-Aqsa' is set to host two main training programs - 'Daura-e-Khas' and 'Daura-e-Lashkar'. This facility will act as the new hub for LeT’s 'Jaan-e-Fidai Fidayeen' unit, replacing the Markaz Ahle Hadith center at Bhimber-Barnala that was destroyed by the Indian Army on May 7, known for its specialization in Fidayeen preparations.

Following the targeting of its previous locations during Operation Sindoor, LeT has shifted its camp to Lower Dir to avoid future strikes by Indian forces.

Nevertheless, credible sources from the Indian Army assert that their security infrastructure possesses the capability to target such distant locations if necessary.

Recent images and reports also suggest the concurrent establishment of an HM camp 'HM-313' in Bandaai Maidan of Lower Dir, alongside JeM’s extension of Markaz e Shaudha in Mansehra, indicating a broader trend of terrorist infrastructure growth in the area.

The movements and expansions of LeT, JeM, and HM facilities in KPK imply coordinated efforts likely orchestrated by Pakistan’s ISI Special Operations Directorate, aiming to bypass Indian intelligence surveillance.

In addition to Markaz Jihad-e-Aqsa, sources reveal that LeT intends to enhance existing camps at Markaz e Khyber Garhi Habibullah and Batrasi, striving to restore its recruitment, training, and residential operations following the destruction of its previous camps in PoK and Punjab, including Gulpur Kotli, Shwai Nala, Bhimber-Barnala, and the Muridke headquarters.

While it is known that LeT and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) collaborate and share training facilities in PoK, the proximity of the new under-construction camps of LeT and HM in Lower Dir, just 4 kilometers apart, hints at potential operational coordination or strategic co-location.

This development comes shortly after the Pakistani Air Force dropped eight LS-6 bombs on Matre Dara village in the Tirah Valley, KPK, resulting in 30 casualties, including women and children.

It is paradoxical that while Pakistan claims to combat terrorism in KPK, it simultaneously causes harm to its own citizens, while the ISI permits the relocation of terrorist organizations like JeM, HM, and LeT into KPK.

Operationally, the new LeT training center is anticipated to be completed by December 2025. Despite ongoing construction, it is already shaping up to become a fresh hub for recruitment, radicalization, and extensive terrorist training.

Notably, the adjacent Markaz Jamia Ahle Sunnah is approximately 80% complete, yet instead of finalizing that project, LeT has redirected all its energy, resources, and finances toward establishing the Jihad-e-Aqsa training center, underscoring the urgency and priority it places on this new facility.
