Bhopal, Sep 26 (NationPress) In light of the growing uproar surrounding the unrest in Ladakh and student demonstrations in Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma has accused Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh of endorsing anti-national activities.
The BJP representative stated that Rahul Gandhi and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh are not in favor of Mahatma Gandhi's vision of 'Ram Rajya', instead resembling Pakistan's founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in their quest for power.
“The Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi and Digvijaya Singh, have no interest in constructing Bapu's India. They reject the idea of bringing Bapu's Ram Rajya to life. Just like Jinnah was driven by his hunger for power during Independence and contributed to the partition of India,” Sharma remarked.
Sharma, a three-time MLA from Bhopal's Huzur Assembly constituency, made these comments in response to Congress members sharing a video of students protesting in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, which has ignited a significant political controversy nationwide.
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh shared a video through his official X account, stating, “The youth of the nation are alert. We will shut down the operations of those who deceive us.”
In the controversial video, a student at the protest site in Dehradun warned, “The day the youth create a situation like that in Nepal and the political climate deteriorates, they will not be able to escape. If political conditions worsen in Uttarakhand, even helicopters won’t rescue them. In Nepal, political figures were airlifted; these individuals will face dire consequences.”
When reporters sought a comment regarding the video reposted by Digvijaya Singh, BJP leader Rameshwar Sharma asserted, “Rahul Gandhi and Digvijaya Singh are anti-nationals. They promote ISI and Naxalism in India.”
He further claimed that Rahul Gandhi is willing to use any means necessary to seize power.
“Similar to Jinnah's power hunger during Independence, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Digvijaya Singh are in pursuit of the same ambition. These two leaders aim to devastate India,” he stated.
BJP leader Sharma remarked that Rahul Gandhi, at times referencing examples from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, is inciting the youth of India.
“They (Rahul Gandhi and Digvijaya Singh) wish to create an environment of chaos and looting in India to undermine the Indian government,” he concluded.
