Bhopal, June 2 (NationPress) As the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi is set to launch the 'Organisation Creation Campaign' in Madhya Pradesh on June 3, the incumbent BJP has intensified its criticism of the Congress.
BJP leader Rameshwar Sharma asserted that the Congress has lost its footing in Madhya Pradesh, and thus, no matter the efforts from Congress leaders, they will struggle to regain public trust.
Sharma pointed to the internal strife within the Congress as a significant hurdle for the party. He noted that Congress leaders are often seen undermining one another.
Questioning the leadership of state Congress chief Jitu Patwari, Sharma remarked on Patwari's inability to manage the discord among senior Congress members.
“Regardless of the number of meetings held by Rahul Gandhi or Jitu Patwari, they won’t succeed until Digvijaya Singh is part of the Congress,” Sharma stated, adding that Singh has communicated a clear message during a recent rally in Jabalpur.
Sharma was referring to Singh’s choice to avoid sharing the stage with fellow leaders, opting instead to sit among attendees during the Congress's 'Jai Hindi Sabha' on May 31, leaving his reserved seat empty.
Singh’s decision to forgo the podium was likely a statement of his commitment to refrain from such positions, following a dispute among Congress office-bearers over seating arrangements at an event in Gwalior on April 28.
Meanwhile, the leadership of Madhya Pradesh Congress is eager for the launch of the ‘Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan’ (Organisation Creation Campaign), which will feature LoP Rahul Gandhi and approximately 100 senior Congress leaders from across the nation.
LoP Rahul Gandhi is expected to lead critical meetings with members of the state party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC), along with MLAs, former MPs, AICC and PCC members, and over 50 leaders from other states who will serve as observers.
“This will be a momentous day for Madhya Pradesh Congress as we unveil a structured action plan aimed at revitalizing the organization for the first time, under the guidance of LoP Rahul Gandhi. Over the next three months, we aim to bolster the party's standing across the state,” Jitu Patwari mentioned on Monday.
