Bhopal, May 29 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is set to arrive in Madhya Pradesh on June 3 to kick off the Congress party's ‘organisational creation campaign.’
The state Congress president, Jitu Patwari, informed IANS that during his full-day visit, Rahul Gandhi will preside over a series of discussions with party members, specifically engaging the state’s Working Committee, Executive Committee, and Political Affairs Committee.
Rahul Gandhi is also expected to converse with 50 observers appointed by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), marking a significant step towards the formation of a new organizational structure in Madhya Pradesh.
Patwari stated, “Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Madhya Pradesh will certainly inject fresh energy and direction into the party in the days ahead. This marks the onset of revitalizing and empowering the party.”
He elaborated that the ‘organisational creation campaign’ aims to bolster the Congress presence in Madhya Pradesh.
Throughout this campaign, a team of observers, including MPs, MLAs, and former ministers from various states, will be dispatched to their designated districts to evaluate the Congress party's strength in each Assembly constituency.
This visit marks the first for Rahul Gandhi to Madhya Pradesh following a series of electoral setbacks for Congress and comes just three days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s major event on May 31.
During this event, PM Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the Indore Railway Metro and two newly established airports in the state.
