Hyderabad, Oct 26 (NationPress) The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has called for an independent investigation into the shooting of a rowdy-sheeter by a Deputy Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad.
Mohammed Mubeen, the AIMIM MLA representing the Bahadurpura constituency, visited Omer Ansari, who is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
The MLA consulted the medical team, who reported that the patient's condition is stable.
According to the AIMIM leader, Ansari suffered bullet wounds to one hand and near his abdomen, and is currently on a ventilator. He emphasized that only an independent inquiry can reveal the truth.
Meanwhile, police forces are on the lookout for another suspect who was present with Ansari and fled the scene after the DCP discharged his weapon.
Reports indicate that Sai Chaitanya, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East), fired his weapon after one of the suspects attacked a police constable with a knife.
