New Delhi, Oct 31 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, referred to the ARISE initiative as a significant step towards fostering self-reliance and innovation within the retail industry during an event in the national capital.
At the ARISE Mission programme, CM Gupta emphasized that such initiatives will not only boost trade but will also create fresh opportunities for employment and skill development.
“In today's India, skills and entrepreneurship represent the most valuable assets. By equipping our youth with certified skills, we ensure they can not only secure their livelihoods but also realize the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat,” she stated in a message shared on X.
The programme was organized by Praveen Khandelwal, Member of Parliament from Chandni Chowk.
CM Gupta declared that the objective of the Delhi Government is to streamline trade, making it empowered, simple, and seamless.
She mentioned that the ARISE initiative is a platform poised to reshape and redefine India’s trading landscape. This initiative marks a landmark effort to empower countless retailers and small traders nationwide through skilling, branding, and entrepreneurship.
In alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Vocal for Local”, she noted that skilling and branding are becoming the core strengths of Indian trade.
The success of the trading community is vital for the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Vishwaguru Bharat, she asserted.
Highlighting the Delhi government’s commitment to improving the Ease of Doing Business, CM Gupta noted that, for the first time in history, GST refunds surpassing Rs 700 crore were issued within just six months.
She revealed that the GST refund process is now entirely faceless and transparent, eliminating the need for traders to visit government offices unnecessarily.
Emphasizing that the economic strength of any nation is derived from its traders and entrepreneurs, she stated it is the government's responsibility to simplify, clarify, and enhance regulations for their benefit.
CM Gupta also stressed the significance of branding and marketing skills, asserting that in the modern age, these skills are as crucial as producing high-quality products. It’s time for Indian entrepreneurs to evolve their products into globally recognized brands.
She asserted that “Made in India” should evolve into a worldwide emblem of quality, pride, and reliability.
Congratulating all trade organizations, entrepreneurs, and the ARISE initiative's organizers, she stated this effort will not only fortify the trading ecosystem but also inspire the nation’s youth with renewed energy, confidence, and an innovative spirit in entrepreneurship.
She concluded by stating that a confident and skilled India will represent the true identity of a self-reliant and prosperous nation.
