Patna, Nov 3 (NationPress) Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claim that RJD leaders had allegedly held a katta (a type of country-made firearm) to the heads of Congress leaders to impose the Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate, RJD figure Tejashwi Yadav responded on Monday by lambasting the Prime Minister's choice of language, deeming it unsuitable for someone in his esteemed position.
Speaking to the media at Patna airport, Yadav, who represents the Chief Ministerial face of the Mahagathbandhan, stated that the Prime Minister’s vocabulary was beneath the dignity of his office.
“It appears he possesses such a mentality and mindset revolving around ‘katta’, which is why he resorts to using such terms. Perhaps the NDA was established by applying pressure on their partners in Bihar,” Yadav remarked.
“Modi's language is inappropriate. What sort of rhetoric is this? I have never witnessed a Prime Minister speak in such a manner. When he is in Gujarat, he discusses factories, semiconductor plants, IT hubs, and data centres. However, when he visits Bihar, he talks about katta,” Yadav commented.
Addressing the absence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during PM Modi’s roadshow in Patna on Sunday, Yadav asserted, “It’s evident that the BJP will never allow Nitish Kumar to serve as Chief Minister of Bihar post-election.”
During a rally in Arrah on Sunday, the Prime Minister had alleged that significant discord existed within the Grand Alliance regarding the Chief Ministerial candidate, stating that RJD leaders purportedly coerced Congress leaders at gunpoint to endorse Tejashwi Yadav as their CM candidate for the Bihar Assembly elections.
Modi suggested that Congress was initially hesitant to concede the CM position to RJD.
“I want to reveal a secret. Congress was reluctant to concede the chief ministerial position. In their clandestine meeting, RJD leaders allegedly held a katta to the heads of Congress leaders to compel them to announce the CM candidate,” Modi had stated.
Yadav and the RJD leveraged this statement to launch a counteroffensive against the BJP and the Prime Minister.
