Why is Tejashwi Yadav Criticizing Nitish Kumar Over Bihar’s Development?

Patna, June 19 (NationPress) During the RJD State Council gathering at Gyan Bhawan in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, launched a vehement critique against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He accused him of ignoring the state's development and instead concentrating on preserving his political position.

The meeting, overseen by RJD National President Lalu Prasad Yadav, officially appointed Mangani Lal Mandal as the new State President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal.

Tejashwi extended his congratulations to Mandal while simultaneously advocating for a national role for former state president Jagdanand Singh in the forthcoming party organizational restructuring.

In his address, Tejashwi stated, “Nitish Kumar is in a state of unconsciousness. He shows no concern for Bihar or its people; his only priority is to cling to power.”

He criticized the Chief Minister for his absence from NITI Aayog meetings, claiming that while Nitish regularly attends NDA meetings, he avoids discussions on development crucial to the state.

Tejashwi asserted that the current NDA government has achieved “no visible progress” compared to the 17-month period when the RJD-JDU coalition was in governance.

He highlighted accomplishments such as teacher recruitment, a caste-based survey, and enhancements in healthcare infrastructure during the Mahagathbandhan era, juxtaposing it with the “ineffectiveness” of the two current deputy chief ministers.

Tejashwi also condemned BJP leaders for allegedly indulging in “abuse politics.”

“There’s a competition between Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha to see who can insult Lalu Yadav and me more. Even BJP’s Dilip Jaiswal is joining this trend,” he remarked.

Referring to Samrat Chaudhary, Tejashwi reminded the audience that his father, Shakuni Chaudhary, once launched vile insults at Nitish Kumar—remarks that are “unrepeatable in public.” Yet, those same leaders now align with the NDA, he noted.

Tejashwi further denounced the recent shooting incident near his government residence, labeling it the greatest illustration of Bihar’s declining law and order.

“With the Prime Minister visiting tomorrow, bullets are fired in Bihar’s most secure VVIP area. If this isn’t Jungle Raj, then what is?” he questioned.

He underscored that the incident transpired near the Chief Minister’s residence, the Governor's House, the airport, and ministerial residences, indicating a total collapse of law enforcement.

Taking a subtle jab at Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi referenced the notorious AK-56 rifle case without directly naming former Mokama MLA Anant Singh.

“Nitish Kumar creates new regulations to release individuals caught with AK-56 rifles, while bullets are fired outside the Opposition Leader’s residence. This is criminal chaos, not law and order,” he asserted.

He declared that the Chief Minister has lost all credibility, characterizing the current administrative system as “entirely anarchic.”

His statements, delivered in the presence of Lalu Prasad Yadav, received applause from party supporters.

During the event, Lalu Prasad Yadav urged the citizens of Bihar to support Tejashwi Yadav as the next Chief Minister.

“We must oust Nitish Kumar and the RSS from power in Bihar. RJD leaders are diligently working to bring about change. We need to engage with the grassroots to defeat Nitish Kumar and the RSS,” Lalu Yadav emphasized.
