Patna, Oct 24 (NationPress) Following his designation as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan), RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav officially commenced his election campaign on Friday. Speaking to a large audience in Ujiarpur of Samastipur district, he took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA administration in Bihar.
During his address at a significant public event, Tejashwi stated: “While PM Narendra Modi may promise development for Gujarat, he seeks votes from Bihar — this approach is futile. If the people empower me as Chief Minister, I guarantee a Bihar free from concerns. Our political stance is grounded not in deception but in trust. Every commitment we have made will be honored.”
Tejashwi Yadav reiterated his key commitments, promising that under a Grand Alliance administration, every household in Bihar would receive one government job, along with a special initiative providing a monthly salary of Rs 30,000 for Jeevika Didis (women's self-help groups).
“Our declarations are not mere electoral talk. If granted the opportunity, every promise will be realized,” he insisted.
In response to PM Modi’s claim about the absence of Jungle Raj in Bihar, Tejashwi fiercely countered: “The Prime Minister asserts there will be no Jungle Raj, yet the truth is evident — murders occur in broad daylight, shootings are rampant, and over 55 scams have transpired during the Nitish government, which even the Prime Minister acknowledged. What has become of those investigations? This is the genuine Jungle Raj.”
He questioned the Prime Minister's silence over corruption and law enforcement issues in Bihar, asking: “Why does the Prime Minister not address Bihar's situation? Why no response to these scams?”
Later, Tejashwi returned to his home constituency of Raghopur, Vaishali, where he inaugurated his primary election office at Chaksikandar in Bidupur block and a secondary office at Chakausan.
A considerable crowd gathered to welcome him, leading Tejashwi to emotionally declare, “You have already named me the Chief Minister. CM signifies Chinta Mukt — worry-free. I no longer need to campaign here.”
Identifying himself as “Lalu’s son unafraid of PM Modi”, Tejashwi Yadav asserted that his future government would prioritize education, employment, women’s empowerment, and social justice.
He reaffirmed his commitment to provide one government job to each family in need and Rs 2,500 monthly aid to every mother and sister.
With his dynamic speeches and the poignant message of “Chinta Mukt Bihar”, Tejashwi Yadav has made a confident start to his campaign, setting the stage for a highly competitive electoral contest in the state.
