Patna, Feb 24 (NationPress) Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari on Monday launched a sharp critique of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) as Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares to visit the state and inaugurate several developmental projects. He asserted that the people of Bihar are determined to replace the 'ineffective' double-engine government with a Tejashwi Yadav-led administration.

The RJD's condemnation of the current government comes at a crucial time as PM Modi is set to disburse the 19th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme from Bhagalpur, which totals Rs 22,000 crore for more than 9.7 crore farmers.

Commenting on the timing of PM Modi's visit, Tiwari told IANS, 'The Prime Minister is suddenly recalling Bihar now that elections are nearing. The people of Bihar expect accountability from him, not just his empty words. The era of 'jhumlabaazi' (hollow promises) is over.'

Blaming the NDA government for Bihar's stagnation, Tiwari posed critical questions: 'Where is the central university status for Patna University? Where is Bihar's special state status? Where is the promised special package? Why is Bihar lagging in all key development metrics? The populace is fed up and will replace this government with a Tejashwi-led RJD administration.'

Earlier, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav in the Bihar Assembly took to X and presented 15 direct questions to the Centre concerning Bihar's underdevelopment under the NDA's governance.

'Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Bihar today. His NDA government has ruled the state for 20 years and the Centre for 11 years. The people of Bihar want to pose legitimate questions, not falsehoods or Jumlas,' he tweeted along with the list of questions.

'It is widely recognized that during an election year, for the next few months, the Honorable Prime Minister Modi Ji will show a keen interest in Bihar and its people.'

'This year they will reminisce about Ganga Maiyya, Chhathi Maiyya, Janaki Maiyya, Mata Sita, Brahma Baba, Mahadev, Surya Dev, Mahatma Buddha, Guru Govind Singh, Jananayak Karpoori Thakur, Litthi-Chokha, Thekua, Makhana, Mango, Litchi, Silk Industry, the so-called special package, etc. They might even get emotional about such memories. You have been Prime Minister for 11 years, and your government has been in the state for 20 years, yet Bihar has received nothing substantial, nor is there any expectation of it. Biharis no longer want falsehoods, rhetoric, and propaganda.'
