Patna, March 4 (NationPress) Following Tejashwi Yadav's criticism of the Bihar Budget 2025-26, Lok Sabha MP Sanjay Jaiswal made a pointed rebuttal, asserting that the RJD leader is uninformed about the budget.
"Tejashwi Yadav neither reads nor comprehends the budget; thus, what valid criticism can he offer?" Jaiswal remarked.
While referencing the budget from the RJD's period, Jaiswal noted, "During the tenures of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, Bihar's budget never surpassed ₹30,000 crore, whereas under the NDA, it has soared to ₹3.17 lakh crore in two decades."
"Significant advancements are being made under the NDA's administration, particularly in airport infrastructure and various development initiatives," he added.
Jaiswal dismissed Yadav's negative comments about the budget, highlighting that Bihar has experienced substantial financial progress under the NDA government compared to earlier times. He also underscored that new airport projects and infrastructure developments will enhance the state’s growth and connectivity.
As the Bihar Assembly elections draw near, the political discourse surrounding the budget is heating up, with the NDA and opposition parties engaged in a verbal clash.
The former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar sharply criticized the state budget for the financial year 2025-26 on Monday, labeling it as “hollow” and devoid of a vision for Bihar’s future.
Yadav accused the government of neglecting vital issues such as employment, education, industrial growth, and migration. He also criticized the NDA for failing to meet the demand to provide ₹2,500 monthly to women under the ‘Mai Bahin Maan Yojana’.
Characterizing the budget as a mere reiteration of past announcements, Yadav asserted it would not affect the residents of Bihar.
In addition, Sanjay Jaiswal defended cricketer Rohit Sharma amidst controversy surrounding a Congress leader's remarks about the player’s fitness. He responded to the Congress leader, calling her comments "very unfortunate and unfounded."
“Each cricketer has his own benchmarks. Achieving three double centuries in ODIs attests to Rohit Sharma's fitness and capability. The Congress party tends to oppose anything positive happening in our nation,” Jaiswal contended.
Jaiswal also defended the Indian cricket captain, asserting that his performance on the field speaks volumes, while the Congress is unjustly targeting him.
During the BJP's State Council Meeting in Patna, Jaiswal mentioned that a new President will be officially elected.
"Dilip Jaiswal is the sole candidate and will be appointed as the BJP state President. Under his leadership, the BJP is poised for significant growth in Bihar over the next three years," Jaiswal stated.
With the Bihar elections on the horizon, the BJP is preparing for an assertive political campaign, relying on new leadership and robust organizational strategies to secure electoral success.
