Patna, April 20 (NationPress) A new political dispute has surfaced in Bihar, with Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav delivering a sharp critique of the recently established government under Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

Since the government transition in Bihar, Tejashwi has adopted a confrontational approach, scrutinizing not just the government’s operations but also casting doubt on the Chief Minister’s leadership and decision-making skills.

In a forceful message on ‘X’, Tejashwi accused the NDA administration of stagnation and a lack of foresight.

He asserted that the government has squandered a considerable part of its inaugural year without achieving any meaningful progress.

“This inactive NDA administration has spent 5 months and 7 days accomplishing nothing — merely engaging in falsehoods, deceit, and hypocrisy. Lacking any clear direction, vision, roadmap, or action plan, it has already squandered 43.29 percent of its first year,” he posted.

Tejashwi further contended that the government has not launched any new initiatives in the last 23 weeks and is simply reiterating previous statements.

Taking his critique further, Tejashwi suggested that Bihar is no longer being managed autonomously.

“There hasn’t been a Cabinet meeting in months, and the expansion of the Cabinet is now postponed. Bihar is being governed remotely by two brothers from Gujarat,” he commented, referring to the NDA leadership in New Delhi.

He also criticized Samrat Choudhary, implying that governance has taken a back seat while social media presence and optics have become priorities.

A significant concern raised by the RJD leader is the postponement of the Cabinet expansion.

Political insiders indicate that while alliance members like Janata Dal (United) have reportedly finalized their list of ministers, the BJP has yet to conclude its selection process.

This delay is said to be due to the party’s senior leadership being preoccupied with forthcoming elections in other states, especially West Bengal.

Consequently, the expansion of Samrat’s Cabinet is not anticipated until after early May.

Tejashwi also sought to connect emotionally with the populace, emphasizing Bihar’s large youth demographic and the issue of unemployment.

He accused NDA officials of jeopardizing the state’s welfare for political gain.

“The burden of their governance and self-indulgence is being borne by Bihar’s unemployed youth, students, and diligent citizens,” he stated.

Currently, aside from Samrat Choudhary, the government includes Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, both representing the JD(U) faction.

Point of View

The recent comments made by Tejashwi Yadav shine a light on the political turbulence in Bihar. His criticisms of the NDA government point to larger issues concerning governance and accountability, which resonate with many citizens, particularly the youth facing unemployment. This situation calls for a careful examination of the administration's effectiveness and responsiveness to the needs of its constituents.
