Patna, April 14 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a pointed critique against the ruling NDA on Monday, alleging internal discord and asserting that the BJP is inherently anti-reservation and anti-Constitution.

During a press interaction at the Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations in Patna, Yadav ridiculed the NDA's ambitions for leadership. “Every leader in the NDA is vying to become the Chief Minister of Bihar. However, the electorate of Bihar has made their choice clear -- the upcoming government will be formed by the Grand Alliance,” he stated.

His comments came following remarks from Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Gurugram, who suggested Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary as a potential future Chief Minister, sparking fresh debates about leadership rivalries within the NDA.

Yadav also criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming he has become “completely dominated by the BJP” and now acts merely as a figurehead.

“There is ongoing sabotage and a struggle between the BJP and JD(U) over the Chief Minister's position. Their alliance resembles a dilapidated vehicle -- and the people of Bihar are eager to embrace a new one,” he jested.

Attacking the BJP's ideological foundation, Yadav remarked, “They adhere to the philosophies of Godse and Golwalkar, rather than Ambedkar. They fundamentally oppose the Constitution, yet the influence of Babasaheb's legacy compels even BJP leaders to commemorate his birth anniversary.”

He referenced past comments made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament, asserting they exposed the BJP's true opposition to Ambedkar's constitutional vision.

Reaffirming his party's dedication to social justice, Yadav pointed out that during the Mahagathbandhan government, Bihar raised reservations to 65 percent. “Nonetheless, the BJP has neglected to incorporate it within Schedule 9 of the Constitution -- a clear indication of its anti-reservation stance,” he charged.

In honor of Ambedkar Jayanti, the RJD has instructed all its MLAs, panchayat leaders, and party members to coordinate celebrations at every panchayat level throughout the state.

Issuing a firm warning to the BJP, Yadav stated, “We are here to defend the Constitution. If anyone attempts to alter it, we will not stay silent.”
