Patna, March 1 (NationPress) NDA leaders, including Bihar’s Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, responded strongly to Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav for labeling Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as a "20-year-old junk car."
In response to Tejashwi's assertion that "a 15-year-old car cannot run, so why would a 20-year-old government work?" Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary remarked: "The Lalu family keeps disparaging Nitish Kumar. But there is no need to worry – Nitish Kumar will keep serving for another 15 years."
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha challenged Tejashwi’s political background, stating: "Before critiquing Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi should first request his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, to resign as RJD’s national president."
Sinha accused the RJD of being overly ambitious for power, claiming: "They have forsaken all ethics in their quest for authority."
Sinha underscored the necessity for a crime-free and corruption-free Bihar, asserting, "We must concentrate on effective governance and progress under Nitish Kumar’s direction."
Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan also condemned Tejashwi Yadav for his personal attack on Bihar's Chief Minister, urging him to concentrate on facts and governance rather than personal insults.
“Tejashwi Yadav, as the Leader of the Opposition, should uphold decorum and refrain from personal attacks. Referring to Nitish Kumar as a "20-year-old junk car" is unacceptable and disrespectful. Comparisons between Nitish Kumar's administration and the Lalu-Rabri regime should rely on data, not personal insults,” Paswan commented.
“During Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi's tenure, Bihar experienced a collapse in law and order, an increase in crime, and a shortage of job opportunities,” he noted.
Paswan emphasized the importance of Tejashwi engaging in issue-based politics and discussing governance records instead of resorting to personal attacks.
"Let the data reveal the truth," he stated, implying that Nitish Kumar's two decades in leadership have shown improvements compared to the RJD era.
