Patna, April 15 (NationPress) Following a prominent meeting with Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, Bihar's Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Tejashwi Yadav fiercely criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing the BJP of having ‘usurped’ him and utilizing him as a mere figurehead for electoral advantages.
“Nitish Kumar is currently in a state of unawareness. The BJP has completely taken over him. Amit Shah mentioned that the NDA will run under Nitish Kumar but never confirmed he would be Chief Minister again post-2025,” the LoP asserted.
Tejashwi further ridiculed the internal dynamics of the NDA, indicating that every member desires to ascend to the Chief Minister position in Bihar. He also recalled Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s support for Samrat Choudhary for the leadership role.
Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has also suggested that the Chief Minister will make his decision following the Assembly elections.
Meanwhile, Nishant Kumar, son of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, vehemently responded to Tejashwi’s statements, asserting, “Why can’t my father reclaim the Chief Minister position? Amit Shah has commented on it. Samrat Choudhary also reiterated this. The NDA will contend under Nitish Kumar’s guidance.”
When questioned about Tejashwi’s assertions concerning the Chief Minister’s health, Nishant stated: “My father is in perfect health. Don’t be misled by their untruths.”
When asked if he harbors political aspirations, Nishant deflected with a witty remark. “Forget about my political ambitions; ensure the NDA forms the government. Bring my father back to leadership,” Nishant Kumar expressed.
Upon being reminded of the NDA’s aim for 225 seats, he confidently replied: “Why limit ourselves to 225? The public should grant my father a mandate like in 2010, when Nitish Kumar’s party secured 118 seats in the Bihar assembly.”
He concluded by dismissing the Mahagathbandhan’s assertions, stating: “Let them say what they wish. The public is observing. My father will be Chief Minister once again.”
