Patna, June 18 (NationPress) The Leader of Opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, asserted on Wednesday that leaders of the NDA are plotting to exclude Nishant Kumar, the son of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, from the political arena.
Addressing the press in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav remarked, “Certain JD-U leaders, particularly from the ‘Bhunja Party’, are engaged in a conspiracy to keep Nishant Kumar out of politics. These individuals are relishing the benefits of power and are apprehensive about losing their influence if Nishant enters the fray.”
Tejashwi accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of being in a “semi-conscious” condition, suggesting that his close associates and allies are exploiting his situation for their personal advantage.
“Everyone in his circle is securing positions for their family members. Sanjay Jha has arranged jobs for his children, Ashok Chaudhary for his offspring, and Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar for his wife. Meanwhile, Nishant Kumar, the CM's own son, is being overlooked,” Tejashwi alleged.
He also criticized the rising sway of the RSS and BJP over the JD-U, asserting that even the Chief Minister’s own party members confess that control has shifted to the RSS and BJP.
“Let the Chief Minister explain to the public where this so-called RSS quota is being utilized,” he challenged.
Intensifying his critique, Tejashwi mockingly renamed the NDA as the “National Damad Aayog,” a reference to suspected nepotistic appointments within state commissions.
With Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to visit Bihar on June 20, Tejashwi queried the intent behind the visit.
“The Prime Minister is not coming to tackle unemployment, poverty, or migration issues. He’s just here to deliver speeches and target Lalu Yadav and me. Will PM Modi honor the three notable sons-in-law - Santosh Manjhi’s brother-in-law, Chirag Paswan’s brother-in-law, and Ashok Choudhary’s son-in-law?”
He added, “The PM is here to lead a meeting of the National Damad Aayog (NDA), rather than addressing the genuine challenges of Bihar like education, employment, healthcare, or irrigation.”
Tejashwi concluded by warning that his party has a “blacklist” of individuals misusing power and influence, promising to expose them at an opportune moment.
