Air India Express Flight Returns to Kochi After Technical Issue, Lands Without Incident

Kochi, Dec 17 (NationPress) There were tense moments on Tuesday at Cochin International Airport when a Bahrain-bound Air India Express flight, with over 100 individuals on board, was recalled shortly after take-off due to a technical issue. Fortunately, the aircraft landed safely, as reported by officials.
After the flight departed at 10:45 a.m., airport personnel discovered a piece of the plane's tyre on the runway.
Upon being informed, the pilot, in consultation with the crew, decided that it was prudent to return to the originating airport rather than proceed to the Gulf destination.
Once the return was confirmed, the flight circled the airport to dump excess fuel for a safe landing.
With emergency protocols activated, the aircraft successfully touched down at 12:30 p.m.
All 104 passengers and eight crew members are reported safe.
Airport authorities have initiated the standard procedures to determine whether the same aircraft will be used for the flight to Bahrain or if another plane will be dispatched later on Tuesday.
