Mumbai, July 8 (NationPress) Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar made an earnest appeal to the public on Tuesday, urging them to engage in the state's initiative aimed at crafting a Vision Document for 'Viksit Maharashtra @2047'. In his comments during the Assembly and Council sessions, he highlighted the successful execution of the 100-day program and announced a subsequent 150-day campaign scheduled from May 6 to October 2, 2025.

A pivotal aspect of this initiative revolves around the establishment of a ‘Vision Document for Viksit Maharashtra @2047’.

He called upon all MLAs, Divisional Commissioners, District Collectors, and Zilla Parishad CEOs to motivate citizens to participate in the 'Viksit Maharashtra - 2047' survey actively.

“To devise the vision, we have outlined long-term objectives (Maharashtra @2047), medium-term aspirations (Maharashtra @75), and short-term targets. For the development of the Vision Document, 16 sectoral working groups have been formed.

The development strategy is anchored on four core pillars: Progressive, Sustainable, Inclusive, and Good Governance aimed at equitable regional development.

A comprehensive citizen survey is underway from June 18 to July 17, to collect insights into public opinion, expectations, aspirations, and priorities,” stated Dy CM Pawar.

He encouraged all legislators to advocate for the survey via social media platforms, public gatherings, and community outreach, and urged divisional and district-level administrative leaders to rally citizens.

The survey can be accessed through a QR code and a link available on the official Maharashtra Government website, with responses also accepted via a WhatsApp chatbot.

Previously, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis indicated that the 150-day phase for the administrative reform initiative will continue until October 2. This program aims to incorporate technology-driven strategies across government sectors to develop the ‘Viksit Maharashtra 2047’ framework.

“The initiative will involve collaboration among 16 primary departments — agriculture, education, health, rural development, urban development, land, water, infrastructure, finance, industries, services, welfare, security, soft power, technology, and human resources — each addressing short and long-term objectives, challenges, and strengths,” the chief minister remarked.

The vision document will be constructed in three phases: 2029, 2035, and 2047. The key areas of focus will include enhancing the Ease of Living through improved office services, boosting the Ease of Doing Business by streamlining business services, and fostering Government-to-Government coordination for smooth inter-departmental collaboration, he concluded.

Point of View
