Lucknow, March 13 (NationPress) The head of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, on Thursday charged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with fostering hatred within society, asserting that the public now perceives the Constitution as being unsafe in the hands of the ruling party.

During a press conference held in this city, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh also accused the BJP of undermining the democratic process. "The BJP has implemented a new tactic to deter individuals from exercising their voting rights. Therefore, I have instructed my party members to ensure that every eligible individual who has reached the age of 18 registers to vote," he stated.

Pointing fingers at the BJP for targeting minority groups, Akhilesh Yadav remarked: "Currently, they are inciting hatred against the Muslim community. In the near future, they will set their sights on the PDA community."

PDA refers to the Pichhda (backward classes), Dalit, and Adivasi (tribal communities).

He emphasized that these groups, together with women and other minorities, are united in their determination to amplify the political representation of the PDA.

In a jab at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the recent Kumbh Mela incident, Akhilesh Yadav mockingly referred to him as "Tees Maar Khan." A government report indicated that 30 pilgrims lost their lives in a stampede during the Kumbh in Prayagraj on January 29.

Criticizing the Chief Minister's assertions about job creation during the Kumbh, he said: "CM Yogi claimed that countless students in Prayagraj earned money by transporting devotees on bikes during the Kumbh. When did the government decide that private vehicles could be used for commercial activities? Does this imply that youth will only find employment once every 144 years?"

Addressing the topic of language, Akhilesh Yadav defended Urdu, stating that it is a crucial part of Indian culture. "We often switch between Urdu and Hindi without even realizing it. Yet, the BJP is against Urdu," he commented.

He also condemned the government for ignoring judicial oversight. "The Supreme Court has repeatedly issued directives and important remarks against the government, yet they refuse to adhere to them," he stated.

Akhilesh Yadav declared that his Samajwadi Party is fully equipped for the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
