New Delhi, May 23 (NationPress) As India intensifies its international diplomatic efforts against cross-border terrorism through the initiation of Operation Sindoor Outreach, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has called for enhanced domestic accountability and transparency from the BJP-led government, insisting on an all-party meeting following the global outreach.
In a conversation with IANS, Chaturvedi stated, “Before the delegation, the crux of the matter is national security. It has been a month since the Pahalgam attack, yet have we succeeded in apprehending the four terrorists responsible?” She emphasized that the battle against terrorism must begin at home, demanding clarity on internal security failures.
In a decisive statement, she emphasized, “These inquiries pertain to internal security. As opposition leaders and citizens, we are joining this global initiative to expose Pakistan, to demonstrate how Pakistan consistently undermines India and why we must respond. Our armed forces executed Operation Sindoor effectively in this context.”
Chaturvedi also highlighted that the government’s actions should be subject to examination, even as the country presents a unified stance on the international stage. “Opposition leaders partaking in the delegation are embodying India’s united position, but the government must uphold accountability and transparency. We are a democracy,” she insisted.
Referring to the recent military operation, she urged the government to inform all political stakeholders. “Following the Pahalgam attack, the BJP-led government conducted an all-party briefing. We anticipate an all-party meeting after Operation Sindoor because, during the operation, the Pakistani army attacked civilians while facilitating terrorism, alongside drone assaults; a briefing on these occurrences is essential,” she remarked.
India’s Operation Sindoor Outreach aims to rally global support to diplomatically isolate Pakistan over its supposed backing of terrorist organizations. Seven parliamentary delegations, comprising 59 Members of Parliament, former ministers, and diplomats, are visiting 33 countries from May 21 to June 5. The outreach seeks to bolster international consensus against terrorism, highlighting Pakistan’s ongoing role in supporting cross-border attacks.
