New Delhi, Sep 25 (NationPress) The filing of the First Information Report (FIR) against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, who is accused of sexually harassing and molesting numerous female students, has unveiled alarming insights into his purported misconduct.

The individual, also known as Partha Sarathy, serves as the director of the esteemed Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management located in the affluent Vasant Kunj area of Delhi. He is currently embroiled in a criminal case for allegedly targeting female students who are part of post-graduate management diploma programs under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) scholarship.

According to the FIR, which has been exclusively accessed by IANS, secret surveillance cameras were installed within the girls' hostel under the guise of enhancing security. However, investigations have shown that the recorded footage was intentionally erased.

The report describes a situation where one student was compelled to alter her name against her wishes, while others were pressured to travel abroad and visit the Swami’s private quarters late at night.

In response to these revelations, the Peetham has initiated measures to uphold the integrity of its educational establishment.

A Governing Council was established on July 31, 2025, under the leadership of prominent educationist and scientist Dr. Krishna Venkatesh.

Concerns heightened following a letter dated July 28, 2025, from a student in the 2023–25 PGDM batch, along with an email dated August 1, 2025, from Group Captain Monica Bijlani, the Director of the University Outreach Program at Air Headquarters, which underscored ongoing atrocities associated with Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati.

In light of the allegations, the Governing Council convened a virtual meeting with over 30 female students on August 3, during which numerous serious accusations were disclosed.

Students accused Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati and his associates of sexually harassing and traumatizing them, particularly targeting those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to visit his quarters at night. They also claimed that he sent them inappropriate messages via WhatsApp and SMS, all of which have since been deleted.

Those who resisted his advances reportedly faced threats of severe repercussions, such as withholding their degrees and critical academic documents.

The FIR further states that surveillance cameras were strategically placed inside the women’s hostel under the pretense of security. Furthermore, students were coerced into accompanying Swami on international trips and visiting his private quarters late into the night.

The FIR also implicates Associate Dean Shwetha and others for allegedly facilitating these acts by pressuring students to acquiesce to Swami's sexual advances while dismissing or suppressing their complaints.

Several students reported being threatened with suspension or expulsion and were even denied parental involvement.

Authorities noted that Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, born Partha Sarathy in Odisha, has allegedly been exploiting women for nearly two decades, feeling emboldened after evading previous molestation charges in 2009 and 2016.

Police have initiated raids across Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan in pursuit of the absconding accused.

A Lookout Circular has also been issued to prevent him from fleeing the country.

Investigators revealed that all complainants were residents of the institute's hostel, situated on the monastery's land, rendering them susceptible to exploitation.

Compounding the controversy, police discovered multiple forged license plates from Chaitanyananda's luxury red Volvo, all featuring fake United Nations insignia with varying digits.

Investigations confirmed that none of the plates were authentic and had been fabricated by the accused. The vehicle has been confiscated as part of the ongoing investigation.
