New Delhi, Sep 28 (NationPress) 'Swami' Chaitanyanand Saraswati was presented in front of the Patiala House Court on Sunday, following his arrest by police from a hotel in Agra earlier that day. The accused, who is also referred to as Partha Sarathy, serves as the director of the prestigious Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management located in the upscale Vasant Kunj area of Delhi. He is currently facing serious criminal charges for allegedly targeting female students enrolled in post-graduate management diploma programs under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) scholarship scheme.

Authorities have stated that the 'Swami' fled on August 4, shortly after the institute received a complaint from the Indian Air Force headquarters, which accused him of molesting female students.

Investigators revealed that Chaitanyananda allegedly summoned female students to his room during late hours, using threats of academic failure or grade reduction to coerce them into compliance.

To date, police have documented statements from three wardens at the institute, all of whom are accused of assisting Chaitanyananda in erasing incriminating messages.

WhatsApp communications retrieved from the devices of approximately 50 female students at the institute have disclosed a history of abuse spanning 16 years, including sexually explicit messages and instances of forced physical contact.

Additionally, allegations have emerged regarding the destruction of CCTV footage, and the DVR has been forwarded to the Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis.

Seventeen women lodged complaints at the Defence Colony Police Station in early August, alleging harassment by Chaitanyanand.

Officials have indicated that Chaitanyanand has purportedly been preying on women for nearly two decades, having previously escaped molestation charges in both 2009 and 2016.

This scandal gained traction when 17 women reported their grievances at the Defence Colony Police Station in early August. At the time, Chaitanyananda was in London but was eventually traced back to Agra.

He had filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Delhi High Court, which he subsequently withdrew.

Adding to the controversy, police discovered several forged license plates from Chaitanyananda's luxury red Volvo, all adorned with counterfeit United Nations insignia featuring various numbers.

Investigations confirmed that none of these plates were officially issued by the UN and were fabricated by the accused. The vehicle has been confiscated as part of the ongoing investigation.

Moreover, he possessed two visiting cards. On one card, he identified himself as a member of the BRICS Commission, labeling himself as the 'Special Envoy from India'. On the UN card, he claimed to be a 'Permanent Ambassador'.
