Additional topics for discussion may include the provision of physical banking services across all villages, the execution of the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112), and various regional issues related to nutrition, education, health, electricity, urban development, and the cooperative system, as stated in a press release issued on Sunday.

The Union Home Minister serves as the chairperson of the Northern Zonal Council, while Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini holds the position of vice-chairperson.
Although the Zonal Councils have an advisory role, they have recently played a significant part in fostering strong relationships and cooperation across various sectors.
Established under Sections 15 to 22 of the States Reorganisation Act of 1956, five Zonal Councils, including the Northern Zonal Council, have convened a total of 63 meetings involving various central ministries and state governments over the last 11 years, as mentioned in the statement.
These councils offer a platform for addressing and advancing issues and disputes between the Centre and member states/UTs, as well as among the member states/UTs themselves.
