Visakhapatnam, Nov 13 (NationPress) Calling upon global investors to consider opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday pledged rapid clearances and unwavering support from the government.
During the India Europe Business Partnership Roundtable held here as part of the CII Partnership Summit, he emphasized that Andhra Pradesh serves as a crucial gateway to India's market, offering vast investment prospects across multiple sectors.
“For any investor ready to invest, the government will assign an escort officer to ensure the swift processing of their applications for establishing industries in the state,” he stated.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Visakhapatnam is set to develop into a global IT hub, with Google planning to invest $15 billion in an AI data center, along with the installation of sub-sea cables connecting to Singapore.
Andhra Pradesh has been actively encouraging industrial growth, adopting a business-friendly approach that promises to clear applications within 45 days. He cited the recent example of Premier Energy, which received clearances in just 45 days following a single phone call. Similarly, Reliance is establishing its second-largest brewery globally, with clearances granted within a month and plans to commence production in February.
The Chief Minister revealed that the state government is developing a drone city aimed at both civil applications and defense sector requirements. In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to enhance space technology in the private sector, Andhra Pradesh is also planning to create a space city.
CM Naidu conveyed to attendees that Andhra Pradesh is robust in the energy sector, generating solar, wind, and pumped storage power. He asserted that the state aims to become a green energy hub, with a target of producing 160 GW of green energy as part of India's goal to generate 500 GW.
Andhra Pradesh excels in various sectors such as AI, data centers, space technology, drones, electronics, aerospace, and semiconductors. Following the recent announcement of India’s quantum computing policy, the state has decided to establish a quantum valley in Amaravati, with expectations to develop quantum computers in Andhra Pradesh within two years.
The Chief Minister expressed his belief that India is destined to become the leading economy globally, praising Prime Minister Modi for providing a stable government.
Previously, Director General of the Confederation of Indian Industry, Chandrajit Banerjee, welcomed the attendees and commended Chief Minister Naidu for his visionary leadership and dedication to the economic advancement of both India and Andhra Pradesh.
