Andhra Pradesh Leaders Honor Chess Star Koneru Humpy for World Championship Victory

Amaravati, Dec 29 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, has expressed their heartfelt congratulations to Koneru Humpy for her outstanding victory in the FIDE Women’s World Rapid Chess Championship 2024.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this is a moment of pride for India, stating, “What an incredible moment for our nation! Congratulations to Koneru Humpy on her triumph in the FIDE Women’s World Rapid Chess Championship 2024. Her remarkable achievement marks a fantastic year for Indian chess!” Naidu shared on ‘X’.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also praised the talented chess player, acknowledging her as a true queen of chess. “Heartfelt congratulations to Koneru Humpy for securing her second world title at the 2024 Women’s World Rapid Chess Championship! Your brilliance and perseverance inspire not just Andhra Pradesh but the entire nation. You truly are a queen of chess,” wrote the Jana Sena leader.
Nara Lokesh, the Minister for Human Resources Development and Information Technology, also took to ‘X’ to extend his congratulations to Koneru Humpy.
“I am thrilled to witness Koneru Humpy crowned the 2024 FIDE Women's World Rapid Champion! This remarkable achievement exemplifies your grit, determination, and skill. Here’s to many more victories and inspiring future generations. You are a true Indian chess legend,” remarked Lokesh, who is the son of Chief Minister Naidu.
YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also congratulated Koneru Humpy on her significant achievement in winning the prestigious 2024 FIDE Women's World Rapid Chess Championship. He mentioned that this extraordinary victory has brought great pride to Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh, and the entire nation.
“Humpy's success on the global stage showcases her unwavering dedication, strategic genius, and passion for chess. Her victory serves as a beacon of inspiration for young talents, especially girls, throughout Andhra Pradesh to pursue excellence in sports and other endeavors,” articulated Jagan Mohan Reddy.
