Amaravati, Sep 30 (NationPress) In a bid to realize the Swarnandhra Vision 2047 aimed at a $2.4 trillion economy, the Andhra Pradesh government is set to capitalize on its extensive 1,000 km coastline by constructing ports or harbours every 50 kilometres, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Tuesday.
During a curtain-raiser event in Delhi for the upcoming 30th CII Partnership Summit, scheduled for November 14-15 in Visakhapatnam, he extended an invitation to global industry leaders.
Naidu highlighted that Andhra Pradesh boasts unique benefits, such as its long coastline, a favorable investment climate with pro-industry policies, and a workforce with strong technological skills.
Under Vision 2047, priority sectors include logistics, deep technology, product perfection, Space City, Electronics, Drones, and Aerospace hubs.
An ambitious Quantum Valley is also planned in Amaravati, with a quantum computer expected to be operational by January 2026, followed by full-scale production in two years.
Naidu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a transformative leader, noting that India is experiencing swift industrial growth.
He mentioned that Modi aims for a target of 500 GW in the renewable energy sector, while Andhra Pradesh has set its own ambitious goal of 160 GW. With a robust agricultural and aqua foundation, the state plans to establish advanced food processing units on a large scale. Furthermore, Andhra Pradesh, recognized as the best in ease of doing business, is now focusing on the speed of doing business.
Inviting global investors, the Chief Minister assured them of pro-industry policies and full support to foster rapid industrial growth and economic advancement.
Union Minister of Commerce Piyush Goyal, speaking at the event, referred to Naidu as the architect of reforms who has significantly improved lives. He noted Naidu's commitment to high technology and the development of plug-and-play facilities across three industrial hubs—Visakhapatnam, Orvakallu, and Kopparthi. Goyal emphasized that the CII plays a crucial role in bridging global investors with economic growth.
