The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) on Friday, 18 September 2026, approved 10 major IT and futuristic technology projects totalling an investment of ₹526.25 crore, projected to generate 8,896 high-quality jobs across the state. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati.

Key Projects Approved

Among the marquee approvals, Srsti Quantum Pvt Ltd secured clearance to invest ₹2,700 crore in a Quantum Computing Hardware, Nanofabrication Research and Manufacturing facility, expected to create 3,000 jobs. Quantum Codon Pvt Ltd will invest ₹167 crore to establish an Integrated Quantum AI-Driven Biotechnology Innovation Campus focused on drug discovery research, generating 126 jobs.

Arohak Technologies Pvt Ltd received the go-ahead for a ₹62 crore Photonics Quantum Research and Innovation Centre, which will provide 300 jobs. TriQuanta Labs Pvt Ltd was cleared to invest ₹35 crore in a Quantum Innovation Centre alongside what is being described as India's first hybrid quantum computing hardware manufacturing unit, adding 175 jobs.

Additionally, the SIPB approved a policy incentive timeline extension under the AP Electronics Policy 2021-24 for AIL Dixon Technologies Pvt Ltd's ₹70 crore manufacturing unit in Kadapa, projected to create 300 jobs.

Strategic Locations: Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Kadapa

According to official releases, top-tier firms have been approved to set up large-scale operations and training centres in Visakhapatnam. The capital region Amaravati is being formally positioned as a national hub for Quantum Computing, Photonics, and AI-driven Biotechnology, with multiple deep-tech initiatives anchored there. Kadapa anchors the electronics manufacturing component of the approved portfolio.

This comes amid a broader push by the Naidu-led government to attract high-value investment into Andhra Pradesh following the state's bifurcation and the ongoing development of Amaravati as its new capital city. The clustering of quantum and AI ventures in Amaravati is notably aligned with the state's ambition to differentiate itself from peer technology corridors such as Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

The approvals span Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Computing, Photonics, Biotechnology, and Electronics Manufacturing — sectors that state officials say are central to establishing Andhra Pradesh as a premier global technology hub.
