Mumbai, Nov 17 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has mandated that appointment letters must be distributed to successful candidates at least four days following the announcement of recruitment exam results for government positions, adhering to established protocols.
He emphasized that by the end of January each year, a minimum of 75 percent of promotions should be allocated based on available slots, underscoring that significant administrative reforms are underway to foster citizen-centric, accountable governance.
The Chief Minister urged all departments to engage actively in these reform initiatives and to make their contributions visible.
During a meeting focused on enhancing good governance, CM Fadnavis stated that promotions are a significant concern for all government personnel.
He noted that receiving a promotion enhances one's capability to manage new responsibilities effectively.
“Thus, departments should ensure that 75 percent of promotions are completed by the close of January each year, and they should be assessed on this criterion,” he remarked.
Fadnavis further added that departments lagging in administrative reforms should accelerate their processes and showcase their achievements.
Each department is expected to submit a demand letter reflecting the number of vacant positions, regularly train their personnel, and enhance their competencies, according to the Chief Minister.
“All government departments should update their appointment regulations. The criteria list must be verified for accuracy, and timeframes should be adhered to during implementation. When revising appointment rules, departments should align them with the responsibilities required for current roles to avoid urgent amendments in the future,” he stated.
According to the Chief Minister, the 'Aaple Sarkar 2.0' portal is to be launched to facilitate easy access to services for citizens without delays.
He also proposed the empowerment of the Aaple Sarkar Kendras and Setu Kendras across the state.
CM Fadnavis highlighted the need to consolidate training institutes of all departments under one umbrella.
He called for the implementation of an effective training program through these institutes.
Departments should conduct training aligned with current needs, he noted.
Additionally, he urged departments to register their involvement in administrative reforms.
