Kishanganj (Bihar), Oct 11 (NationPress) The president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) in Bihar, Akhtarul Iman, has sharply criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath this Saturday. He accused the BJP of attempting to rally communal votes by targeting Muslims.
In response to Chief Minister Adityanath's involvement in an election rally in Bihar, Iman pointed out that lawlessness has reached alarming levels in Uttar Pradesh. “There is no semblance of democracy or rule of law there. The UP government is blatantly disregarding court orders. Despite the Supreme Court ruling that bulldozers cannot be employed without a court order, the Chief Minister is ignoring judicial decisions,” he stated.
Iman asserted that CM Adityanath is trying to consolidate communal votes by focusing on Muslims and that prominent Muslim figures are being unfairly targeted.
He remarked, “Our religious leader Tauqeer Raza is now under scrutiny simply because he demonstrated his love for Prophet Muhammad above all else and advocated for love.” Iman emphasized that CM Adityanath is striving to strip Muslims of their fundamental rights.
Previously, concerning the incidents of stone-pelting that occurred in Maharashtra's Ahilyanagar district following the escalation of the ‘I Love Mohammad’ controversy, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi stated that the BJP is responsible for the deteriorating atmosphere in the state, exploiting such situations for political gain.
On the ‘I Love Mohammad’ issue, Owaisi noted that nearly 98 percent of the populace adheres to one religion, and expressing this sentiment with love should not be misconstrued as hate or violence. He questioned the rationale behind perceiving love as a precursor to hostility.
He argued that political entities should not possess the authority to dictate an individual's freedom of expression. “Is the BJP going to determine who is allowed to express 'love' and who isn't?” he posed.
