Mumbai, Feb 18 (NationPress) NCP-SP legislator Jitendra Awhad faced a significant setback as two of his loyal supporters, Abhijeet Pawar and Hemant Wani, made the switch to Ajit Pawar's NCP.

Abhijeet Pawar, who served as Awhad's personal assistant managing his political engagements, along with the NCP-SP's State Vice-President Hemant Wani, officially joined the NCP in front of Ajit Pawar and numerous enthusiastic party members from Thane and Mumbra.

Ajit Pawar took the opportunity to criticize Awhad, pointing out that despite the NCP having many prominent figures in the Thane district, they left because of one person.

“No one took the time to reflect on why they departed. Reflection was essential. People can err in their work, yet if someone consistently makes errors, they will lose support,” he stated.

He indirectly made a pointed comment about Jitendra Awhad.

Ajit Pawar remarked, “When Abhijeet Pawar decided to join our party, there were calls suggesting he meet and sort things out amicably. When are they planning to resolve things now? Were they asleep?”

“A leader and a party must possess a vision and unite all segments of society. This is the ethos of the NCP. The party's strength grows with the addition of such members,” he articulated.

He further noted that the NCP champions the politics of inclusion, valuing both new and existing members.

Reassuring the women of the state, Ajit Pawar affirmed that the Ladki Bahin Scheme will remain operational, while ensuring that the benefits reach the deserving women.

Ajit Pawar mentioned that the influx of members from other parties into the NCP is ongoing, stating his commitment to expanding the party's influence statewide, particularly following its recent performance in the Assembly elections.

He urged party workers to concentrate on recruiting more members in the days ahead.
